LSSCM provides general civil law services to low-income and senior citizens in 13 counties in southern and central Michigan. They have offices in Lansing, Ypsilanti, Battle Creek, Jackson and Monroe. They also have smaller satellite offices to cater to clients in several other counties. The County Council is the legal director of Jackson County and is responsible for all legal matters affecting the Board of Commissioners, the County Administrator, and all divisions, boards, commissions, and committees of the County.
