Lambda`s legal team, made up of legal, policy and advocacy experts, fights every day for equality and justice for LGBT people and all people living with HIV. As a law clerk, Paige assists Lambda Legal attorneys across the country in a variety of cases and at all levels of administrative, state, and federal courts. She is currently supporting Lambda Legal Litigation to challenge the current government`s discriminatory and arbitrary ban on open military service for transgender people. It is also useful in a case involving challenging a prison`s «still image policy» that prohibits a transgender inmate from accessing medically necessary transitional health care. She has also supported litigation and advocacy efforts on behalf of people living with HIV, including a case involving a helicopter doctor who was fired from his job when his employer learned of his HIV status, as well as recent efforts to end the unjust criminalization of people living with HIV. After the Trump administration rescinded key Department of Education directives that made it clear to schools that transgender students were protected by federal laws, Paige received calls from students across the country affected by the change. She has also contributed articles to the Lambda Legal blog and gives presentations, panel discussions and speaks at gatherings on behalf of Lambda Legal. Prior to joining Lambda Legal, Cook worked as a paralegal specializing in medical malpractice for nine years. She was a founding member of the Youth Pride Chorus and a singer and associate member of the New York City Gay Men`s Chorus. She holds a B.A. in Political Science, summa laude, with honors, from Rider University.

In addition to her professional work, Cook is an award-winning writer (BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop, BMI Jerry Harrington Award for Outstanding Creative Achievement) and a runner of several marathons.
